Il m'a interrogé sur le contrat, puis a dit l'accepter, mais ça va nous coûter presque tout ce qu'on avait mis de côté pour la dot de Fifi. C'est exagéré, mais j'ai bien dû accepter. Je n'ai pas vraiment le choix.<br><br>18 mai 1243<br>Le sorceleur prétend que les problèmes sont causés par un monstre souterrain. Il a fouillé la zone et trouvé l'entrée d'un réseau de grottes près d'un ruisseau dans la Forêt de Marcescent. Il compte y pénétrer demain.<br><br>20 mai 1243<br>Le sorceleur n'est pas revenu. Un elfe de la ville est venu s'enquérir de lui. Quel toupet de donner notre adresse à des non-humains !<br><br>27 mai 1243<br>Ça a assez duré ! Jamais plus je n'engagerai de sorceleur ! Cela va bientôt faire dix jours qu'il a pris son avance et disparu. Je vais vendre les affaires qu'il a laissées derrière lui pour couvrir au moins une partie de mes pertes. Dommage qu'il n'ait laissé que des bouts de papier gribouillés que personne ne voudra acheter. |

Finally, a response to my notice! A witcher, big as a mountain and bearded as a dwarf. He asked about the contract, then said he’d take it – for about as much coin as we’ve set aside for Fifi’s dowry. That’s some nerve! But I had no other choice – I had to agree.
